FIELD SERVICES

Pumps, grinders, controls, valves, generators and other wastewater equipment are vital components of critical systems. We consider the cornerstone of our business to be our ability to respond to customers' emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to keep these critical systems up and running. We maintain this service by paying a rotating group of technicians to be on call around the clock. Service crews will respond in mechanics trucks that are stocked with many of the materials needed to make on site repairs. These crews can be supplemented with additional technicians, laborers and supervisors depending upon the magnitude of an emergency by summoning additional employees.

PSI Process provides the following types of emergency service requests:

  • Pump and equipment breakdowns

  • Electrical and mechanical repairs in pump stations

  • Control troubleshooting

  • Delivery and set up of rental equipment

  • Emergency sewage bypass implementation

  • Delivery of new equipment or parts

Please note that we are not excavators and do not provide vacuum trucks to clear blockages. Although, we do have relationships with companies that provide these services.

Procedure for Requesting Emergency Service:

  • Phone (732) 469-4540 and follow the prompts for emergency service and you will be connected to the executive on call. Please be prepared to provide the following information:

    • First and Last Name

    • Job name, address and directions

  • The executive on duty will dispatch service technicians

Our prevailing service rates and policies apply. Please note that we require an established commercial account in good standing or a credit card for all requests for emergency service.

PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE

Pump Station Maintenance- The best way to keep your pumping station in good working order is to arrange a preventive maintenance program with Pumping Services. Regular preventive maintenance will uncover emerging problems and help to avoid costly and inconvenient breakdowns. Inspections can be scheduled monthly, quarterly, semiannually and annually. In addition to checking your pumps, the service technicians will check your controls, sensors and plumbing. We offer different types of agreements depending upon the type of equipment involved.

  • 20 Point Vertical Shaft Pump

  • 24 Point Submersible Pumps

  • 25 Point Vacuum System

  • 26 Point Pneumatic Pumps

  • 35 Point Flooded Suction Pumps

Please contact our service department for more information.

Shaft misalignment is one of the largest causes of premature failure in coupled pumping equipment.
Misaligned equipment operates under excessive strain and results in accelerated wear, louder operation, and premature failure. It is a fact that misalignment contributes to more than 50% of excessive vibration in closecoupled rotating machinery.

We will provide a factory trained technician equipped with state-of-the-art Vibralign laser technology to align the pump and motor shafts to the closest tolerances possible. You will be provided with a written report documenting the actual alignment for your records.

Please visit the Vibralign website for more information regarding their equipment.

STARTUP SERVICES

We provide professional startup services on pumping equipment, controls, generators and other equipment

Turnkey Installations

We offer turnkey projects for real estate developers and others who want sole source responsibility for all electrical and mechanical aspects of a new installation. Our customers recognize the potential conflicts and coordination problems between the installers and suppliers of the many interdependent pieces of equipment required in a lift station. They have chosen us to prepare the equipment submittals, manage the ordering and delivery of the equipment to the job-site, assist in communication with the inspectors and town personnel, supervise installation labor and subcontractors, assemble all manufacturers for startup and training, prepare station Operations and Maintenance Manuals and be available for any warranty issues that may arise. We are able to offer this service because of the experience and relationships we have developed.

We can provide stations in fiberglass, steel or concrete. We do not normally provide excavation or piping outside the wet well or valve chamber. Every job is unique and deciding exactly which responsibilities you want us to assume will be something we will need to agree on and make part of our contract.
